Landscape, architecture, and people are one.
The project won first place in the "Chongqing Datian Bay Area Architectural Landscape Design Competition."
The project site is in the Yuwan district of Chongqing city. It is within the boundaries of Jian Kang road (south), Zhongshan road (east), and Tiwu road (north).
The design components are (1) architectural and landscape masterplan design guidelines, (2) the pedestrian bridge, (3) the cultural main axis (from Cultural Palace to Helong Statue and Datianwan Stadium) landscape, and (4) the skydiving tower park landscape.
The landscape structure is one loop, two axes, three cores, and four districts. One loop: sports track around Datianwan Stadium. Two axes: main axis (urban cultural active axis) and secondary axis (historical landscape axis). Three cores: cultural core (Helong square), landmark core (skydiving tower park), and two-axis interchange core (music fountain). Four districts: pedestrian bridge, central avenue, children’s play area, public square.
The design is in cooperation with architects Tang Le and Feifei Feng.
