The Noe Valley Homes are a multi-family renovation and addition project in Noe Valley, San Francisco. Situated in a 25-ft lot with abutting properties on both sides, the existing non-conforming building contains 4 residential units, a car garage, a common staircase, private decks, and a rear yard. Two large, corner bay windows respond to the traditional bay windows prevalent in the neighborhood. The work includes interior renovations, a fourth floor addition, expansion towards the rear yard, facade renovation, garage level excavation, and full seismic retrofit with sprinkler system installed. A new butterfly roof adds character, creates interesting spaces, and solves the problem of light deprivation which is typical to houses on narrow lots.
